Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data AI Coworker handles and where it goes. It covers the AI Coworker desktop app, the AICoworker Browser Relay extension for Chrome, the website aicoworker.net and the online services that belong to them. AI Coworker is made by Neurons AI ("we", "us").

In short. AI Coworker is local-first: the app runs on your computer and your conversations, files and settings are stored there. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. Data leaves your computer when you use a feature that needs it to: an AI model provider you chose, a messaging channel you connected, or one of our optional online services.

1. AICoworker Browser Relay (Chrome extension)

The extension lets the AI agents you run in the AI Coworker desktop app work in your Chrome browser. It has one purpose and it only talks to the AI Coworker app on the same computer (address 127.0.0.1). It has no server of its own, no analytics and no ads.

What the extension handles

Open tabs (web history). The titles and addresses of your open tabs, so the agent can find the page you mean.
Website content. The content, screenshots and console messages of the pages the agent works on, and the actions it carries out there (opening pages, clicking, typing, uploading a file you named).
Sign-in data (authentication information). Only when you click "Import cookies from Chrome" in the app: the cookies and the site storage (local storage, session storage, IndexedDB) of the one site you chose, so the agent is signed in to that site in the app's built-in browser.
Your actions (user activity). Only while you run a "show the agent how" recording: your clicks, the fields you fill and the Enter key in that tab. Passwords, one-time codes and payment card fields are never recorded.

Where it goes

All of the above is sent to the AI Coworker app on your own computer and nowhere else. The extension does not send data to us or to any other server. What the app then does with a page the agent read (for example sending its text to the AI model provider you configured, so the model can answer) is described in section 2.

What the extension stores

In Chrome's extension storage on your computer: the connection settings for the app (port and token), your preferences, and a log of what the agent did during the last 30 days (tool, page address, outcome). The log never contains typed text or page content. You can clear it on the extension's options page, and removing the extension deletes everything it stored.

Limited Use

The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this data only to provide the feature described above. We do not sell it, do not transfer it to third parties, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes. No person at Neurons AI reads it: it never reaches us.

2. AI Coworker desktop app

Stored on your computer

Your conversations, agent workspaces, files, settings and the activity of your agents are stored on your computer. Credentials such as API keys and sign-in tokens are kept in your operating system's secure storage where it is available.

AI model providers

To get an answer from an AI model, the app sends the content of the conversation (your messages, attached files, and what the agent read with its tools, such as a web page or a document) to the provider you configured, for example Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or xAI. That content is handled under the provider's own terms and privacy policy. When you use a model that runs on your computer, this content does not leave it.

Channels and tools you connect

If you connect a messaging channel (such as Telegram or WhatsApp) or another service, the app exchanges messages and data with that service to do what you asked. Those services have their own privacy policies.

Optional online services of AI Coworker

Remote Access and sharing. When you turn on Remote Access or share an agent, the connection between your devices and guests is carried through our relay. To operate it we process connection data such as device identifiers, IP addresses and connection times. When a relay connection is made, the app also sends a short technical report about the device (such as app version, operating system and hardware capability). We use this to run and protect the network.
AI Coworker Store. If you create an account on store.aicoworker.net we process your account details, the items you publish or install, and payment records. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.
Updates. The app checks for and downloads updates from GitHub, which sees your IP address like any website you visit.

3. Website

aicoworker.net is served through Cloudflare. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure. The site does not use advertising trackers.

4. How we use data and who receives it

We use the data described above only to provide, secure and improve AI Coworker. We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that host our online services (for example Cloudflare and our payment provider) to the extent needed to run them, and when the law requires it.

5. Retention and your choices

Data on your computer stays until you delete it or uninstall the app or the extension. Data on our online services is kept for as long as your account or the service needs it, and for as long as the law requires for payment records. You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you by writing to the address below.

6. Security

The extension accepts connections only from the app on your computer, authenticated with a token. Connections to our online services are encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure; please keep your device and accounts protected.

7. Children

AI Coworker is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes are announced on this page.
